Wasn't it a good start
i was here and you were there
far apart, but still so close
bounded by the love we share
The writer keeps on working
on his wood desk he bends
and thinks earnestly
how to write both of our ends
And so we have reached now
the end of every story
that always starts in dispair
and ends up with glory.
